Field Black’s baked eggs are on fire. Literally. The Northcote spot has thrown two game-changers into the world of winter’s most beloved dish by adding a generous portion of haloumi into the mix and, a healthy dose of fire.
The ‘flaming’ baked eggs are served with harissa spiced lamb, tomato and capsicum ragout, chickpeas, raki flamed haloumi, smoked parika and Turkish bread. When served, the haloumi is spectacularly set on fire, adding a smokey element to the flavours.
Don’t worry, an inferno won’t ensue, but you will be left with a smoky, gloriously cheesy baked eggs taste sensation for breakfast.
