Forgive us for the play on words, but it’s not every day that the home of Australia’s favourite chip announces a foray into the world of Australia’s most-loved meal. Uh huh, Nando’s is dipping a PERi-PERi coated chip into breakfast land, with the release of its new Bacon & Egg burger. Which, FYI, can also come as a wrap or pita depending on what floats your boat.
We’re talking RSPCA Approved grilled PERi-PERi chicken, two rashers of crispy bacon, a cage free egg, gourmet lettuce and a delish smoky capsicum relish. Plus, you also get the choice of a regular side, which means that you can have garlic bread alongside your bacon and egg – marvellous! If that’s too progressive for you, a side salad, coleslaw, spicy rice, a corn on the cob or the famous PERi-PERi chips are also on the menu. Add a 600ml Mount Franklin water or 390ml Coca-Cola variety for an extra $2.50.
The Bacon & Egg is available now from 11am at all restaurants (yep, brekkie for dinner is DEFINITELY an option) and you can grab it dine in or takeaway until the 21st of October.
