George Street in East Fremantle is one of our favourite precincts. It’s got a quiet, country-town-main-street kinda vibe to it, while being in the heart of one of Perth’s most beautiful suburbs. Our brunch favourite, George Street Quarters, is one of the jewels in its crown.

The cafe is side-by-side with its culinary counterpart, George Street Merchants, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Merchants are more of a grocer/deli kinda thang, and responsible for the venues’ epic smoothie bowls (see below).

We had;

  • the ocean bowl with blue spirulina, banana, coconut mylk, blueberries, peanut butter, granola, coconut, and cacao nibs
  • butternut hotcake with roselle and creme fraiche parfait, pancetta crumb, candied walnuts, seasonal berries, natural yoghurt, and maple
  • the acai energy bowl with banana, coconut mylk, strawberries, granola, goji, and cacao nibs
  • the croque monsieur with bechamel, three cheese, shaved ham, dijon and pickles with a fried egg

Follow them on the gram at @georgestreetquarters and @georgestreetmerchants
