One of the greatest hardships about being vegan would most definitely be a lack of haloumi. Nuut Bar (in Fremantle and Swanbourne) have addressed this grave injustice by doing some kind of health food magic with tofu and thus creating an acceptably vegan, and acceptably tasty, version of the salty cheese.

Beyond this, they’re also known for their beautiful smoothies and smoothie bowls, nutritional lattes (blue latte anyone?) and tasty brekkie menu.

We enjoyed;

  • the smashed avocado with zesty almond feta, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, crispy kale, gluten free sourdough
  • zucchini and sweet potato rosti stack with tofu haloumi, spinach and walnut pesto, oven roasted cherry tomatoes, creamy aioli and crispy kale
  • a nutritional blue latte
