There’s a lot going on when it comes to dining out in Singapore. Unfortunately we only had a couple of days to explore the breakfast scene so couldn’t make it everywhere but we have included both the places we went, and others that piqued our fancy but we couldn’t make it to. Here goes…

1. Punch – @punch.gram

We’d barely been out of Australia for longer than 24 hours and the smashed avocado cravings had already kicked in. You can take the girl out of Aus, but you can’t take the Aus out the girl etc. etc.

This modern space is a beautiful brunch spot, cool inside with a courtyard out the back for those that don’t mind the Singaporean heat. The menu includes bircher muesli, poached eggs, grilled cheese sangas and VEGEMITE in case you’re after a taste of the homeland.

We enjoyed the poached eggs with smashed avocado on sourdough and the earl grey pancakes with white chocolate macadamia crumble and a poached pear.

2. Ronin –

Serving up a dimly lit, cool interior that provides welcome respite from the humidity outside, Ronin is well-loved for their scrambled eggs and great coffee. We enjoyed said scrambled eggs (and can vouch for their tastiness) with eggs n avo, plus their savoury French toast with braised apple, bacon, hazelnut butter, and syrup.

3. Brawn and Brains – @brawn_and_brains

Four words: oven baked molten eggs. The menu at this place is limited but this cheesy staple makes it well worth a visit. They’ve also got lotsa baked goodies and endless supplies of coffee to wash it down with.

4. Level 33 – @level33_sg

Okay, not a cafe, but definitely worth a visit. They’re the world’s highest urban craft brewery and boast epic views of Marina Bay. The Sunday lamb roast is UNREAL.

ps. Be sure to try their champagne beer!

5. Providore – @theprovidore

Breakfast boards, ricotta pancakes, baked eggs and (of course) smashed avo. This cafe/deli/bakery will fulfil all of your wildest breakfast dreams, they even serve up Aussie favourite Remedy Kombucha.

We went later in the day so ended up cruising over the breakfast menu and heading straight for pizza and pasta (with our hunger rendering us incapable of even taking any snaps – soz).

Now for the places we didn’t make it to, but think you should know about (and most definitely Insta-stalk…)

6. Curious Palette – @curiouspalette

7. The White Rabbit – @thewhiterabbitsg

8. Pollen – @pollenrestaurantsg

9. Picnic –

10. Open Farm Community – @openfarmcommunity

11. Clan Cafe – @clancafe
